Titans Get First win of 2010 over Denver at LP Field in the Rain

Finally! The Titans have won their first game of the 2010 NFL season after holding off Denver in a 16-10 victory this weekend at LP Field. The Titans simply had to win this one after an 0-3 start to begin the season, and they had a much better showing over the previous three outings to get the first win of the year. There is still a lot of improvement that needs to happen as the team simply is not scoring enough points, and Vince Young will need to be more consistent if the team is to overcome the tough beginning to the season.

This game featured 3 Field Goals by Rob Bironas and some nice drives by the Titans as well as a 55 Yard Touchdown pass strike from Vince Young to Kenny Britt. The Young to Britt combination early this year has been nice as they look to continue to build chemistry on the field each week. Chris Johnson added 75 Yards Rushing on 26 attempts and the Titans controlled the time of possession in this game much better than they did against the Giants and Steelers.

Next week it will not get any easier as they go for the 2nd win as they have to head to the Lone Star State to take on Jerry Jones and the NFC Favorite Dallas Cowboys. The Titans hope they get to see the stadium in Texas more than once this year, because if so that means they will have made it to the Super Bowl. But, right now the team needs to simply focus on one game at a time and try to build on the win over Denver.
