Steelers "Man Handle" Titans in Week 2 of 2010 Season - Titans Fall to 0-2
Posted on September 5, 2010 at 01:52 AM.
This was a really challenging game for the Titans. Despite feeling good about their chances to keep the game to a smash mouth feel with lots of running and grinding, the Steelers had other plans. Ben Roethlisberger and the Steeler offense put the Titans on their heels early with lots of play action and sneaky running plays on the first drive to set the tone. The Tennessee defense from the get go was under the gun and seemed confused. Early in the 2nd Quarter the Steelers had established a 14 point lead with 2 solid drives, and then things got really ugly before halftime, with Turnovers leading to more points when Kenny Britt fumbled a Kick Off, and then later before halftime James Harrison returned an INT for a Touchdown.

After adjustments in the locker room the Titans settled down and in the 2nd half, held PIT scoreless, and put up 16 points of their own on two TD passes from Vince Young to Nate Washington and Chris Johnson. But the story of this game was -9 yards rushing for the Titans, and a brutal attack on both Off. and Def. From Pittsburgh. The game was not nearly as close as the final score looked.
