Nov 1st 2015 - First week of the season in the books

If the first week of the season is any indication this team is going to be a blast to watch. The Aces went 2-1, beating the Clippers at home 140-120, and the Lakers on the road 100-95. Before losing to the Clippers in the rematch at their house 113-112 on a last second Ray Ray shot.

Bethea has kept up his hot hand averaging 35ppg, and Harmon is just chugging along with 26ppg/13rpg.

If there is any weakness shown by this team so far it is the bench. Right now they are getting nothing off the bench. The starters are playing the majority of the minutes and it seems like the coach does his best to keep one of Bethea/Harmon on the floor at all times. But there is just no offensive punch off the bench for this team. And that could wear over the course of the season.

The Aces have four games this next week with two back to back nights. First off is the Jeff Hill led Grizzlies, followed the next night by the struggling Phoenix Suns. On Friday night the Rockets come to town. Then on Saturday it is a showdown in the desert with the Warriors. It gives the Aces their first chance at washing the taste of their playoff disappointment out of their mouths. That should be a fun night!
