2018-19 End of Season re-cap. Progress, but still aways to go.

Jabari continued to flash his all-around game. Julius showed his strength and inside game. Lawson definitely flashed his offensive game, especially once he was moved into the starting lineup. Ray Ray did regress a little, but I think that was partly with the talent around him he didn't have to do as much. But I was looking for hopefully a step forward next year as he is in the last year of his rookie contract. We are still searching for that right point guard to lead the team. The acquisition of Lavasai did help solidify the spot, and cut down on our overall turnovers. But I'm not sure he is a sure fire starter in this league. The bench provided some decent production, but having Lawson move into the starting lineup cut into the offensive production provided off the bench. We are hoping that Augustin can continue to progress and become that much needed solid sixth man. He definitely had flashes of that in a couple of games this year. Overall we were getting close, but not quite there.
As for the rest of the league, the Thunder and Bobcats both finished as number one seeds again. They also played in the finals and went 7 games. The Bobcats pulled it out for their fourth title in four years! Irving had his fourth consecutive Finals MVP. Now to see what the Bobcats do with Irving's contract expiring.
As for the upcoming off-season there prob wasn't going to be a much movement as we didn't have a ton of cap space, and with a mid first round pick probably wouldn't be able to find that final piece we need. We were going to look at setting ourselves up nicely for the stacked '20 draft class and put some complementary pieces in place with what we already have.

Yeah I have them setup like I want just need that star PG. And I'm trying to set myself up to get that number 1 for 2020 (DC6), and then just keep the bench with some decent players and I feel like I can make that next step.

After playing with Kyrie on the Bobcats for a few years, I miss not having that stud at PG.
