2016 Playoffs. Could this be the year?

As stated before we had made the playoffs as a #2 seed. So we were feeling good, but not satisfied. 16 wins and I could finally give Jordan another trophy, just as an owner this time.

For the first round we were matched up against the Cleveland Cavs. This presented an opportunity for a couple of stories. The return of Kyrie to his original team just one year after jumping ship. And the matchup of the top two picks from the 2014 Draft: Parker and Wiggins. Cleveland definitely put up a good fight as it took 6 games to close out the series and move on. Irving had a massive series averaging 31.8pts and 8.5assts. The matchup between the two young stars was won by Wiggins, but the series by Parker. Parker averaged 12.3pts, 6.7rebs, 5.3assts whereas Wiggins averaged 18pts, 7.8rebs, 4.5assts. I have a feeling this will be a matchup that is revisited time and again for the next decade.

In the second round we faced the Orlando Magic. They didn't put up much of a fight after we took the first three games. We did let our guard down and let them take game 4, but closed them out in 5. Irving continued his hot streak averaging 30.8pts and 8.4 assts. We also received good news in that both Mayo and Ilyasova came back from injuries. Ilysova was still bothered a little bit but was providing important minutes off the bench.

For the conference finals we faced the Knicks. Irving cooled off considerably as he only averaged 21pts and 7.6 assts. But ultimately we took them down in 6, 4-2.

This led us to the Finals and a matchup with the Star studded Oklahoma City Thunder. This matchup featured several interesting matchups. Irving versus Westbrook: could Irving keep up his hot streak through the finals and contain Westbrook? Parker versus Durant: could the young kid hang with the superstar? How these questions were answered would determine the series and the Bobcats fate for 2016.
