Party at Jordan's mansion..
Posted on February 5, 2014 at 11:04 PM.
The Free Agency phase of the offseason is not my favorite part of the year as I always feel like that awkard kid hoping to get a dance with the pretty girl. It's always the one with more money and connections that ends up winning. This year though it was a different story. I had one of the greats Michael Jordan on my side and committed to helping me bring in winners. One of our big selling points was anyone that signed with us would be invited to an exclusive pre-season party at Michael's mansion!

We did have some money to spend this offseason with Gordon's 13mil contract coming off the books, and passing on the extension to Biyombo. My first target was shooting guard Lance Stephenson. He was just the all around get to work type of guy I wanted on the team. Ultimately, with the promise of the party invite and a 4yr/36mil contract he signed on the dotted line. I was also able to entice BJ Mullens, M. Evans, M. Dellavedova to join the team for very team friendly contracts. In addition, M. McGary went unsigned by the team that drafted him and I was able to pick him up for 2 yrs. Even Ben Gordon wanted back on the team bad enough that he took a one year deal for 3mil. All in all we now had a good starting five and some depth off the bench. I did forget to mention in last post that in the second round I was able to draft Andrew Harrison who had slipped dramatically due to some concerns about his attitude. I had Jordan give him a talking to after the draft and we shall see how he reacts.

Now with training camps winding down and the season about to start, we are going with Walker, Stephenson, GilChrist, Parker, and Jefferson as the starting five. Playing Parker at PF is not the long term solution and we are hoping he won't struggle. But only time will tell.

Nice man! Again almost novel like in really enjoying this series. A little part of me thinks MKG would be a better fit than Parker for PF. But depending on your opinion of him he also makes for great a trade chip. That's just me though. But I definitely do like the Stephenson pick up

Yeah the reason is Parker has the bigger body to bang with the Pfs. Gilchrist is much more slight. But let me give a hint for upcoming posts and say you are on the right track about the trade chip.
