NFL 2k13 rumors start again

I decided to research the possibility of 2k returning to the football genre and I came across new youtube videos and twitter mentions, but yesterday I decided to look at their wiki page to see if it has been updated. I know a fan probably edited this, but a part of me is hoping that it is true.

Let's hope it is true. Is it possible that Euphoria has been licnesed if this is real? Maybe that is the reason Natural Motion bailed on Backbreaker, perhaps in an agreement with 2K. 2K licenses but on condition that BB go bye-bye.

This is pure, wild, unadulterated speculation on my part of course.....because I REALLY want it to happen.

I did not catch that it said NFL 2k13. They obviously cant becuase of NFL licensing to EA but some time of Pro Style football game that is highly customizable would be the next best thing.

Actually EAs deal ends next August the same day Madden 13 ships out. 2K has already came out and said there going after the NFL licence and have had multiple chats with the NFL about making a NFL game. The NFL only wants 1 publisher making a NFL game so it will either be EA or 2K making football for the next decade and with EAs sales not meeting expectations probably explains why 2K has had multiple chats with the NFL instead of just getting told NO

I think it will be opened up to multiple publishers...why did the nfl only re-up the license for only one year this past February?

I personally think that 2k will have a NFL or fully customizable game for launch of the next Gen systems. They are going to be so powerful that perhaps creating the NFL or any league for that matter will be much easier! Who needs the license anyways then! I personally wish NO ONE would get it! Maybe that would teach the NFL a little bit about what we want instead of how much money they can milk from these companies.

What/who's to stop EA and the NFL renewing the agreement for another year? Money talks, and unfortunately EA has s#!t loads...

This blog post is as promising as the evidence used to back it up, unfortunately. Someone anonymously edited the Wiki (aka vandalized) to add NFL2k13.

I agree. If NFL 2K makes return it puts more pressure on EA to not get complacent and "step their game up". Im a sports game-aholic so I will buy both anyways but having the choice for the average consumer is better for both 2K faithful and Madden fanatics.
