The Browns had a nice showing against the Green Bay Packers in their first preseason game. They won the game 36-30, but it wasn't as close of a contest as the score would indicate. When the first-stringers were on the field, Cleveland outscored Green Bay 23-3, thanks to two interceptions from Aaron Rogers (one returned for a TD by Eric Wright) and a fumble from Brandon Jackson. Green Bay, who was without key players Jermichael Finley and Ryan Grant, never seemed to get into rhythm.
For the Browns, Colt McCoy was the starting quarterback, and Jake Delhomme relieved him in the first half. Peyton Hillis also sat early in the game to avoid injury. Seneca Wallace was the QB for the second half, putting up some decent numbers, including a 78-yard pass to Demetrius Williams which put the Browns on top for good.
For the Packers, Matt Flynn torched the Cleveland reserves for 3 TD's, and almost led the Packers to victory with 27 points in the fourth quarter. Aside from Grant and Finley, Nick Barnett and Brad Jones also did not play - all four are out for the season.

What made you decide to start Colt over Jake? Do you plan to have Colt be the future franchise QB?

I named Colt the starter since he is currently starting for CLE (in real life).
The front office hopes he can be the QB of the future, and since they don't feel Jake will be here past 2010, they have decided to test out Colt at starting QB for the preseason.

Well he's starting for Thieveland because both Wallace and Delhomme are suffering from high-ankle sprains, but yeah he showed good poise and potential since his starting debut against Pittsburgh.
