Cincinnati, OH--- When the Reds are looking for a win, there is no one they would rather turn to than Mat Latos. On Tuesday night the Reds looked to even up the series against the Tribe, and looked to go ten games over .500 for the second time this year. The Redlegs struck for 2 early runs against right-hander veteran Derek Lowe (4-4, 4.53) and did not look back. Todd Frazier delivered a 2-run home run in the 6th to give the Reds a 6-0. The only trouble Latos got into was in the 6th, when he gave up 2 runs; the only runs he allowed. In the 8th, Ryan Ludwick hit a 384 ft. bomb to left field to add on more insurance runs. "Its good to see Luddy and Fraz stepping up. That homer by Frazier was huge," said skipper Dusty Baker. The Reds went on to win 7-2, as Mat Latos pitched his first of the season, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits and striking out 3. "I felt good. They were swinging early in the count and it helped me go longer in the game," said Latos following his eighth win of the year. The Reds will look to win the Ohio Cup, as they play Cleveland for one last time in the 2012 season. Homer Bailey (6-3, 3.64) will take the hill for Cincinnati to face Ubaldo Jimenez (7-5, 4.27). The first pitch is set for 7:10.
