With what has happened with NCAA Football 10, a lot of people have been saying not to buy the game in hopes that we can get EA to make a better game. I am not buying this game but i just have to ask one question: How many people are actually influenced by blogs and forum posts? Then there are those "casual gamers" who buy the game and don't read these forum posts and blogs. I just don't know how much good this does.

EA's sales will take little to no dive because of the influence of the forums on this site. Their are many people who say they will not buy this game but I wonder how many people will really resist. Those that don't buy the game because they think it is not up to par, I commend them for it. But, I don't see this hurting EA's bottom line, too small of a percentage of NCAA gamers visit this site and therefore are not persuaded to pass

I think forums and blogs can affect the sales of EA because as we all know most gamers are internet savvy that surf the net and get feedbacks on whether or not to buy a certain game. If we are to get statistics from world of warcraft subscribers who grinds warcraft gold with their guildmates definitely from there we can clearly see the influence of social networking, they can easily spread news. That is also one way of forcing publishers to create a better game, we deserve great games.

I would never make a decision about buying a game because of what people say in a forum. I still need to play the game before I decide if it's crap or not. The magic of forums is that people can come on here and bash a game and tell us not to buy it and then go out and buy it themselves and just not tell anyone. NCAA will sell just fine.
