2015 NBA PLayoffs
EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
(1) Cavaliers (60-22)
vs
(2) 76ers (49-33)
NBA Finals bound! Cavs beat Sixers in Game 5
Game 5, "The Q" was rockin like only Cleveland can.
- During the regular Season the Cavaliers had the best Home record in the NBA, winning 37 of their 41 home games. In Game 1 of these Eastern Finals, the Cavaliers fans were shocked that their team had been beaten by a Sixer team who wasn't all that good on the road, only 15-26 during the regular season. The loss brought back terrible memories for Cavs fans, memories of the Cavaliers loss to the Orlando Magic in 2009... That year, LeBron and the Cavs had the best record in the NBA, 66-16, with a 39-2 home record, only to lose to Orlando in the Eastern Finals.
This Cavaliers team by every account is better than that team. That team was all about LeBron James and on occasion someone else would step up and help him out, with this team, there are 3 or 4 guys that can beat you on a nightly basis. This team can score the ball from anywhere, inside or outside, they play great defense and they believe in one another, which is something that was lacking on previous Cavalier teams that came up short in the past.
With all that being said, the Cavaliers were entering the game, One Win away from their 2nd trip to the NBA Finals in Team History. It was only fitting that it was at Home, at "The Q" in front of the fans that have been with them through thick and thin.
**GAME 5** - 107-103 Cavs win (4-1)
- LeBron James - 31 points - 9 reb - 8 ast - 2 blk
- Shabazz Muhammad - 24 points - 3 reb
- Kyrie Irving - 14 points - 7 ast - 7 reb
- Jrue Holiday - 16 points - 10 ast
- Evan Turner - 16 points - 10 reb - 4 ast
- Jrue Holiday - 13 points - 5 reb - 14 ast
- Sixers shoot 70% in 4th qrt - 14/20 fg - 4/6 3pt
The Sixers put up a hell of a fight in that 4th quarter, but, the deficit was too much to overcome and they came up just short in this game... The Cavs win the series and LeBron leads the Cavaliers back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2007... This time, the shoe is on a different foot as the Cavaliers will be favored in the Finals regardless of who they match up against, whether its Denver or Los Angeles...
THIS IS BELIEVELAND!
