"Out with the old, in with the new," must've been what recently hired Bucks General Manager, Andre Hicks was thinking when he stepped into his office this morning, after successfully making a series of moves that he says- is the beginning of a new era in Bucks basketball. The second half of the season began with shooter Gary Neal and prospect Khris Middleton being shipped to New Orleans for 3pt marksman Anthony Morrow, and big man Jason Smith.
Merely an hour passes by and Hicks receives a call from Knicks GM Glen Grunwald and accepts a trade. Milwaukee sends OJ Mayo, Ersan, and Zaza Pachulia to the Big Apple for injury-riddled, post-prime Amare Stoudemire, PF/C Jeremy Tyler, and combo guard Toure Murry. The move irritated many Bucks fans, leaving many unsure on what the future really holds. Hicks, however sees Stoudemire, 31, as a stepping stone to a new beginning. New Bucks trainer, Antonio McCormick specializes in legs and is adamant he can help restore the big man's knees.
It didn't end there! With Mayo on his way to NY, a blaring hole at shooting guard stared Hicks into the face. In a 3-team deal, the Bucks received Brandon Rush and Chicago's 1st AND 2nd round picks; the Bulls received Caros Delfino, Milwaukee's 2015 1st rounder, Toure Murry, and rookie Miroslav Radujica; and Utah ended up with swingman Mike Dunleavy.
