Julius Peppers in my opinion is THE BEST DE in the NFL. He's a tremendous player and a huge part of the Carolina defense. Now we have a problem, he's unhappy and wants to be traded. We've added the franchise tag on him but he refuses to sign his 1 yr/$$17 million offer and he's holding out on the Panthers. What will happen next?? Will he stay in Carolina or will he find a home somwhere else ???

oh s**t , aha yeah ur right, appreciate it. But yeah i see what you mean but if you look at the Chicago Bears entire defense they have really fallen below the radar. You never hear to much about them anymore *defensive wise* if you do hear about them its mainly about offense with their new running back forte and Devin Hester returning kickoffs and punts. Even Brian Urlacher has fallen off so i wouldnt put the blame entirely on Briggs. They just need some defensive motivation. Julius Peppers' legacy is in Carolina. Its where he grew up and spent his life and achieved so much here. Hopefully he can set all the differences aside and join the team for the 09 season.

And second, If a player is serious about a desire to leave...nothing good comes from keeping them around. The Lance Briggs thing in Chicago was alot like this and yeah, they ironed it out, but the ripple effects still affect players and their demands even now.
