I wrote this right before the 4th of July this year, thought I'd post it here.

Emerging From The Depths

It's kind of hard to be writing right now. The last few things i wrote were for Mamo (my grandma) and to be writing again, even a few days later still is hard.

Her service was very nice, very hard to get through and experience, but very nice. I think she would have enjoyed it and sure must have liked seeing us all together. Don't Know What To Say But We'll Miss You

I'll have more to say, at some point, when it all feels real, but yesterday, December 21st, 2008, around 4:30 PM, my grandma, who we call Mamo, died. She passed away, and was pretty peaceful. She had been sick for awhile, and had alot wrong with her, but up until about a month ago, she was still out and about, very lively, and then all this crept up.

I HATE looking for new cars. Its a completely broken process. First as soon as you get there, the Velociraptors jump right on you after about 3 min of stalking. Seriously. you get out of your car. Wanted to write today, actually wanted to write the last few days and just didnt get around to it. Lots of stuff going on, some good some bad.

My grandma is still in the hospital, though she has become responsive. She is on a ventilator (which is like a death sentence for elderly people). But she has opened her eyes and recognizes us. I'll admit it, my strength has been sapped from this whole ordeal with my grandma. Everyday is a repeat of the day before, and all i can do is sleep when i get home now.

And now i feel guilty for complaining that I'm tired from all this.

The Noles lost in an embarrassing display. Way to go guys, the ACC was yours and you blew it, again.

Any Minute It Seems.....

My grandma is in the hospital (again) for what looks like the last time. She coded last night, things aren't going well, and my family is a mess. I've lived within 30 min of her (and the rest of my family) since i was 2 years old (im 28 now). This is definitely a tough time. After being at the hospital all day and night, i decided to come into work to kill some time.

I'm expecting a call sometime today with the bad news..........all i can hope for is what's best for her.

Do you ever get the feeling that at some point in the very near future, something will happen, or you will have a random choice to make that will affect alot more than it should? Fantasy football related. My opponent had Cutler on Thursday Night (who went off) and i had just my kicker going in the 1 PM Sunday games. By the end of the 1 PM games, i was down 108.6 to 8. By the end of the Sunday games i was down 147 to 103.1 with Warner, Gore and Boldin still to play.

With some dead time at work this morning (thank you economy for sucking so bad), I figured I'd take some time to throw some thoughts out there.
