Browns Begin Off-season Transactions

BEREA - Despite the Cleveland Browns not having a head coach yet, it was business as usual for the professional football team on the heels of Super Bowl LIV as they have announced some player transactions. The following has happened in the past 24-hours regarding the team's roster:

C J.C. Tretter - Turned down a 2 year - $12.7M offer to test FA
WR Rashard Higgins - Re-Signs with Browns on 2 year - $8.3M deal
LB Joe Schobert - Turned down a 4 year - $27M offer to test FA
HB Kareem Hunt - Browns place Franchise Tag on the HB
SS Justin Burris - Re-Signs with Browns on 1 year - $1.5M deal
FS Damarious Randall - Turned down a 2 year - $12.9M offer
FS Eric Murray - Re-Signed with Browns on 2 year - $3.26M deal
WR Antonio Callaway - Released from the team
TE Demetrius Harris - Released from the team
LT Greg Robinson - Released from the team
LB Christian Kirksey - Released from the team
CB TJ Carrie - Released from the team
The Browns will not enter into contract discussions with: SS Jermaine Whitehead, HB Dontrell Hilliard, and LT Justin McCray.

Many of the moves were to clear up space to hopefully make a big splash in the upcoming free agency.
