Real-Time Friends Chat Coming Monday Stuck

When we launched the OS Arenas a few months back we gave you the ability to create a list of friends. On Monday you will be able to make use of your friends list when we launch a new chat bar that allows you to chat with your OS friends in real-time.

Those who frequent Facebook will be familiar with how this works. Essentially there will be a permanent IM bar at the bottom of every page on OS allowing you to see which of your OS friends are online and chat to them in real-time.

There is no need for you to install anything or register anywhere. As long as you are logged in to OS the chat bar will be available to you.

If this is not your thing or you just don't want to be bugged by your buddies you can easily sign out of the chat bar while still remaining logged in to OS.

Is there going to be a possibilty to chat with more than one person on the same conversation box? I mean like a 'conference call' (like in MSN Messnger)?

Not initially, but hopefully in the future this will be possible.

FYI, we plan to launch this around 8PM EST on Monday.
