Background: High school coach Byron Flowers was a highly recruited high school football player and became a great college player. Destine to the NFL a career ending injury changed coach Flowers football career. He went on to become a graduate at Western Kentucky University and assistant coach and eventually a highly sought after coach for a big time job. Flowers once again got bad publicity in a recruiting scam he had nothing to do and schools lost interest. Flowers now is coaching high school football for the last 4 years with 2 Kentucky state championships. Flowers was highly recruited and became great friends with Coach Kelly over the years.

Current time: The sound of the whistle blowing on a hot August after noon coach Flowers yells, "run it again we will be here all afternoon if we cant get this right!" Coach Kelly quietly observes from the sideline. Coach Flowers disgusted with his players throws his playbook down and demands the players line up and run subsides. He turns and noticed Coach Kelly. Flowers excitedly asked." Coach what are you doing down my way? I bet your down to recruit my rb he would be a great fit in your program." Coach Kelly replies,"Actually I am here to talk to you."

In the coaches office after practice the two coaches have a meeting. Byron I am not going to beat around the bush I need an offensive coordinator that can help me take Notre Dame back to the top of college football. You are an offensive guru and I think you would be a great fit with me. Coach Kelly it sounds great but I can't just pack up my wife and kids. Coach Kelly states,"You will have full control of the playbook and recruiting offensive players. You know the play will top your current job." Coach I need a few days to think this over.
