Patriot Way??
Posted on August 25, 2012 at 01:31 PM.
What happened to the Patriot way? Welker blasted Assante Samuel for wanting more money and leaving, now Welker is doing the same thing he bitched about Samuel doing. And the rumor is the Colts are trying to get him for a 3rd and 5th rounder. Mark Anderson had 10 sacks last year and left for BUF even though NE matched the 4 year 28 million BUF offered, I guess they offered more guaranteed, I hope it was worth going to a 7 win team vs atleast a 12 win team for the same money. Andre Carter wanted pro bowl money bc he had pro bowl stats, only one problem, I think he forgot he missed about 6 games, yes they made the Super Bowl but no he wasn't there, he was INJURED, with him they probably beat BAL by double digit, Gronk dosent get hurt and they blowout the NYG in the Super Bowl. Too bad he was hurt, then Gronk did get hurt and they LOST the Super Bowl, yet hes not getting any offers, bc he wants pro bowl money even though he was hurt which they replaced him with Chandler Jones. Brian Waters in under contract and not showing up bc he also wants pro bowl money, and I hope he shows up bc NE is using there pro bowl C at G which isnt working, using there G at T which isnt working, and using there backup C and C even though he was playing G last season. Without Waters NE will be in trouble, bc BB is confusing me bc why put one of the leagues BEST C's at G, and backup C at C when he played well at G last season. They wanted Cannon to be there future RG not today LT. If Waters dosent come down on his price, I see him as being unemployed, and maybe done for good, bc in the NFL if your gone for 1 single year, people forget you existed, so I hope he shows up and gets NE OL back to top 5 instead of middle of the pack!

incidentally, the "patriot way" also includes cheating. pretty bad too, which is why the nfl burned the tapes. a book recently came out detailing just how bad the cheating was that went unheard of. maybe thats why they were so good at home for so long. and beat baltimore by double digits? doubt it. maybe, but with the improvements in the baltimore secondary AND offense, i think that ship has sailed.

And yet NE still wins and went to 2 Super Bowls after that! If Carter was healthy, he was on pace for 15 sacks, he would have sacked flacco atleast once or twice ending a couple drives. If Gronk stayed healthy the entire game they win by double digits, if Brady wouldnt have missed him and a couple other TDs he missed were talking about a 34 to 10 beatdown. Honestly i think BAL will be worse, they really didn't add anyone and lost Suggs, which is a HUGE loss, without him BAL has no pas rush, and there D is another year slower and besides Reed a average at best secondary. If anything they barely will make the playoffs this, or could miss it entirely. Reed is also a FA at the end of the year, so next year he could be a Patriot, or Jet or even a Steeler since know one on that D believes hes bringing them to the SB, not to mention Ray Lewis isn't the same game changer he once was. As for spygate, since then several other teams like the Jets, Bills have been caught "spygating" but no real punishment was given. And several analyst have NE going 16-0 AGAIN since spygate, so they dont need it to win, and besides every team does it, they just didnt get caught or did it a different way!

agree to disagree. id say baltimore is without a doubt top 3 in the afc. ill give the patriots credit, they belong there too. baltimore did add jacobey jones on offense, another deep threat to compliment torrey smith, who has definitely gotten better btw. still got bolden. rice is beast. flacco looks improved, and id say he was already a very good qb; theyve looked good running the no-huddle as well. suggs is out for a while, which hurts, but he will be back and will be in form at least by the playoffs. until then im confident paul kruger and courtney upshaw can carry the load, maybe sergio kindle will finally get in there and make some plays too. secondary has looked sharp, which is very encouraging to me. ray lewis is still the man. even if hes lost a step physically, his presence on the field and in the locker room is invaluable. another appearance in the afc championship is expected, as well as the super bowl.
