Juan Rivera and Jeff Mathis each hit their first home runs of the season, and Erick Aybar had a season high 3 RBI as the Angels beat the A's 8-2. The win allowed the Angels to take the 3 game series 2-1. Scott Kazmir collected his second win of the year for the Halos.

The Angels next travel to New York to take on the defending world champion Yankees for a 3 game set.

Howie Kendrick left the game with an sore wrist after being hit by a pitch from Michael Wuertz. Kendrick is listed as day to day.
