The Braves are anxious to have Brian McCann back in the lineup

Today the Braves activated Brian McCann from the 15 Day DL. McCann had missed the last 4 weeks with a spraned knee. McCann was hitting .323 with 3 HR and 7 RBI when he went down. David Ross will return to a backup role for Atlanta. Ross filled in admirably while McCann was inactive. In 83 at bats, Ross hit .325 with 4 HR and 11 RBI while playing very good defense.

Jake Fox was placed on optional waiver to make room for McCann on the Roster.
