COD the New Madden??

This thread is dedicated to those who have been to college or are in college now. I attended Michigan State from 2002-2007. EVERY SINGLE day of our lives we would play Madden. It was a daily ritual! lol. We would wake up, eat breakfast, go to class, play madden then sleep.

Madden tourneys would happen regularly across various floors or dorms that everyone would look forward too! I would practice and get my stick skills up because I never wanted to get dinnered. ( Thats what we called the 28point blowout lol)

Now I have a younger brother that attends MSU and he buys Madden but him and his boys never play is they say. They play COD everyday he states. He claims that Madden is played out (which I agree) and that COD comes out every year so they decide to play that.

When I was in college there was not a game of this magnitude that came out EVERY single year for kids to play and I want to pose this question. Even if Madden no longer has the license after 2014 will it even sell? Im not a big COD fan but on the second biggest campus in the nation, all you see is COD tourney signs and death-matches where you used to see Madden in years prior.

Is COD the New Madden?

I love CoD better I prefer Battlefield's gamesb now. But to answer your question, yes. Most of the tournaments on our campus are CoD and NBA 2k games. There are a few Madden tournaments, but CoD owns the campus now.

I went to Arizona State from 2002-2007. I could not agree more, me and all my friends were usually playing Madden 24/7. We would add in some NBA2K, MLB The Show, and NCAA Football in between but Madden dominated. I bought MW2 last year in August and BlOps in Nov, I don't know if I will even buy Madden this year....I am HOOKED!

I like the fact that a game of COD takes 10 min where Madden took an hour. But more importantly, Madden never adds new stuff, they have not changed the franchise mode or my player mode in years...waste of money now.

I'm more of a Battlefield guy....especially since they use real physics....COD has definitely taken over the gaming industry....I stopped playing COD due to the spam cheesers...for those who would like to see cheesing at it's finest...check this video out.
