2011 NFL Draft to be shown on ESPN, ESPN2, & the NFL Network

The 2011 NFL Draft will be shown on ESPN, ESPN2, and the NFL Network. This year's draft is special because we don't expect the draft picks to actually attend the draft. I don't agree with this move by the players. We'll see on April 6th if the players will actually attend the draft. It all depends if the NFLPA reaches an agreement with the NFL. Oh well, here's the tentative broadcast schedule as it looks like. Also, the draft will be held in prime time. That's a smart move by ESPN.

Rd. 1: Thursday, April 28
Rds. 2-3: Friday, April 29
Rds. 4-7: Saturday, April 30
Radio City Music Hall, New York

A new CBA should be reached before the draft. The anti-trust lawsuit might force the lockout to be over. We'll see on Wednesday if this bold strategy works for the NFLPA and its players. I seriously doubt the owners will hold a draft without a new CBA. The #1 pick is usually signed before the pick is even announced, so we'll see how it goes. I'll be watching as any new developments happens in the news.
