Week 5 Results and News – The picks last week went an astonishing 6-2. Alabama looked strong but left the door open a bit for Georgia to be looking for a rematch in the SEC Championship game. Colorado may be coming into something as they won on the road as an over 2 TD dog. Other things…

• Purdue fired the OC this week. Never a good sign.
• Only 1 ranked matchup this week (9 Mizzou @ 25 Texas AM)
• Alabama looked legit in the 1st half, Georgia looked legit in the 2nd half
• Cam Rising is out at QB for Utah. Again. The guys injury prone-ness has got to be affecting his draft stock at this point.
• Indiana Football is for real and I just have to deal with it. Dang it. It’s going to end up becoming my….

Lead Story for week 6 – That’s right. Curt Cignetti and his makeshift roster of middling 2 and 3 star players from **** programs has become the mid-season story of College Football. The thing is, this guy came in and called out Purdue, so he got points with me from jump street. But he’s also old (63) and does not have the benefit of time to build the mighty Hoosiers. So it’s got to be now or never. Indiana is sitting as one of five teams sitting at 5-0. They are also sitting with the 2nd worst winning percentage in the Group of 5 in history. Cignetti has won at Indiana University (of Pennsylvania) and is the guy behind James Madison being relevant the last 3 seasons but to make Indiana a major player long term, he would need to be about 30 years younger. There are 2 undisputable facts in life and they are that time is undefeated and Indiana Football sucks.

Saturday Slate
UNLV over Syracuse - UNLV has laid claim to the group of 5 playoff spot.
Louisville over SMU – I’m going to this game with my kiddo. Look for me on TV! I like the over of 56.5 too
Michigan over Washington – No spreads here, are you seeing a pattern? You get some juice on this pick.
NC State over Wake Forest – WF has to pay for making me look stupid last week.
Pitt over North Carolina – a Pitt win here sets them up as an undefeated ACC dark horse
Toledo over Miami Ohio – Toledo QB is amaze-balls so far. 11 TD against 2 picks.
Oklahoma State over West Virginia – OK State has been living “fat” since they fell last week.

PICK OF THE WEEK – I think the Toledo QB is the best group of 5 player out there and damn it if you disagree. They have a decent 2 man running attack too. I’d take Toledo over Miami of Ohio if you like money.
