Week 3 Results –I guess one of the biggest stories in College Football has to be the sudden rise of the Indiana Hoosiers. Saturday night, they went into UCLA as a 3.5 road favorite (up from 2.5 to start the week) and blew the door off the Bruins. Now 4-0 this week seems like a mere formality, I wonder how a team as historically as awful as Indiana can handle positive press and expectations. The play Charlotte and are currently almost a 4 TD favorite. Sounds like there is no way for Charlotte to even be in this game?
Alabama won at Wisconsin and knocked out the Badgers starting QB Tyler Van **** on the 1st series. The backup looked decent all things considered but I’ll probably fade Wisconsin for the rest of the season. Florida State’s Mike Norvell moved up to the top spot in Eddie Allen’s Coaches Hot Seat list joining Florida’s own Billy Napier.
Meanwhile in Texas, the Arch Manning era has officially begun as he threw for 4 TD and ran for another. Ewers seat will certainly get very warm during the next 3- 4 weeks while he is recovering.
There is a Big Ten banger on Friday night as Nebraska squares off with Illinois. I’ve said it before and I’m probably going to say it 2 more times before I move into “ITOEDASO” territory, but Nebraska is back and a real contender for the playoffs this year.
For the week, I was 6-4. Not enough to take it to the boat, but enough to keep playing thru the day.
Saturday Slate
Houston +5.5 over Cincinnati – Gonzo Faught has lied to you, once again, on the ability of the Bearcats
Kentucky -17.5 over Ohio – After the ‘moral” victory of playing with Georgia, the Wildcats will score an actual victory. 18 points is really just 6 field goals.
Auburn -3 over Arkansas – Bobby Petrino’s offense keep this one close.
SMU + 5.5 over TCU – Home underdog and I’m still holding on hope for SMU. For at least one more week.
Minnesota +4.5 over Iowa – Chances are this is another low scoring affair in which a FG decides. 4.5 is just too much if you ask me.
Indiana +26.5 over Charlotte – Let it be known, that Eddie Brackets follows the money, no matter what crappy football town it lands.
LSU -22.5 over UCLA – But while I’m sorta praising Indiana, let’s be real. UCLA is a dumpster fire this year.
Colorado Moneyline Baylor – Baylor may be back and that’s why I’m taking all the juice off this one and just taking the Buffs at home. Spread is about 1.5 for Colorado.
Eddie Brackets Playoff plus 1 Rankings
1) Texas
2) Georgia
3) Ohio St
4) Tennessee
5) Alabama
6) Ole Miss
7) Miami
8) USC
9) Mizzou
10) Oregon
11) Utah

13) Indiana
LAST WEEK’S PICK RESULTS –Guest Picker Rudy scored big. The Hoosiers covered the 3.5 early and never looked back. That makes us a very impressive 9-1 in the POTW!
PICK OF THE WEEK – I’m going off the books on this one and taking Ole Miss -32.5 over Georgia Southern. GASO is coming off a “big” win over Vanderbilt and will not be ready for the Lane Train.
