Week 5 Results and News – The picks last week went an astonishing 6-2. Alabama looked strong but left the door open a bit for Georgia to be looking for a rematch in the SEC Championship game. Colorado may be coming into something as they won on the road as an over 2 TD dog. Other things…

• Purdue fired the OC this week. Never a good sign.
• Only 1 ranked matchup this week (9 Mizzou @ 25 Texas AM)
• Alabama looked legit in the 1st half, Georgia looked legit in the ... Read More

The big story of the week in College Football has to be the saga of Matt Sluka, the QB for the undefeated UNLV Rebels. Depending on your general take on life, you are either totally against this or totally for it. For me, I’m all for it. After years and years of players being taken advantage of, it is about time that the tables have turned. If you promise something, you had better be prepared to deal with the consequences of failing on said promise. I understand the team aspect and leaving ... Read More

Week 3 Results –I guess one of the biggest stories in College Football has to be the sudden rise of the Indiana Hoosiers. Saturday night, they went into UCLA as a 3.5 road favorite (up from 2.5 to start the week) and blew the door off the Bruins. Now 4-0 this week seems like a mere formality, I wonder how a team as historically as awful as Indiana can handle positive press and expectations. The play Charlotte and are currently almost a 4 TD favorite. Sounds like there is no way for Charlotte ... Read More

Week Two Results6-1 on money plays (picks made at counter of Sports book or Casino) and 15-5 for the day. I guess it’s time for me to tell you that the picks that I make on Thursday can definably change before the money is laid on Saturday morning. In fact, the lines change thru the week and is one of the biggest factors when it comes to making a good Saturday play. Let’s take for example the weekends biggest upset.

At the beginning of the week, Notre Dame was a strong 33.5-point ... Read More

Week One Results

Applebee’s in Clarks Vegas has lost their liquor license! I know that it seems like I’m burying the lead here, but this is big news. I discovered this during the worst time ever. But I digress. Starting off the noon games, I was able to sneak out 2-1 (Penn State and Louisville winners, Illinois State a loser) and that was able to get me to the 3:30 games. Those were not so pretty as I went 1-2 (Miami was the winner, Colorado State and FIU were the losers). I ... Read More

It’s finally here! No more Bull**** week zero nonsense….well wait…. I guess that I do need to start off with….

Week Zero Results
I ended up 3-1 for the day. I started off with a loss in the Georgia Tech vs Florida State game. I don’t want to sound like a Seminole apologist here but they can still make a run and get back into the mix. The next game started the win streak with New Mexico covering the 13.5 as a home dog against a D2 Montana State squad. Had they not given ... Read More

If you read last week’s blog, then you already know the plays for the 4 games in “week zero”. I know that everyone expected me to be beyond hyped for this “week zero” nonsense, but I’m really not. We do know the Vegas lines for 2 of the games and all I got to say is “OMFG does New Mexico suck or what?”
Part of the reason that College Football wagering is easier than most other sports is the sheer volume of games played on a single Saturday. There can be upwards of 50 games on a given ... Read More

I absolutely hate the concept of week zero. For some reason, the masterminds of College Football have collectively decided to give us fans a TV package of 4 games, one of them always decent, and laugh all the way to the bank as the masses eat it up. I’m going to give you the keys to a 4 game parlay for the masses to shove it up their asses!
But before we go any further, these picks in this part of the column are just for fun. I’ll probably just drop a 5 spot on the four game parlay. ... Read More

“If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying” Jessie Ventura

I’ve been a sports fan for as long as I can remember, so I’ve seen a lot. But I don’t think that we have ever seen a defending National Champion enter into the season with so much negative baggage as the Michigan Wolverines. Let’s do a quick rundown of the exodus and issues following the Championship run, and why this spells the end of this golden era (but probably not this year)

So first off the head coach ... Read More

It’s August Babeeeee!!!! In 3 weeks we are set to begin week zero. This week, as we inch closer and closer to the start of College Football, we are going to start talking about a few different aspects of the upcoming season. Let’s dig in.

Real Time RPI – I spoke a few weeks back on the value of the Sagrin Ratings. Another site to go thru weekly is the Real Time RPI. You can find it by a simple google search. Once on the page, you would click on the predictor link and that will ... Read More

This week, we are going to take our first peek at the upcoming College Football season by doing one of my favorite pre-season traditions. Bashing IU football. And looking at the Win totals from Vegas.

A win total is basically a number to wager over or under. Indiana football has a win total of 5.5. So if you think they will win 6 games, you take the over. If you function like a normal adult without the RFK brain worms, you take the under and watch as they struggle to beat FIU ... Read More

Today just so happens to be one of the greatest days in the history of mankind. Although the webmaster of this very blog will more than likely disagree with everything that I say, I’m going to say it anyway. Today marks the first time in 11 seasons that EA has produced a College Football video game. I have scheduled 9 days off from my actual job to simply play this game.

Before I can tell you how we got here to this place in time, I’m going to need to fill you in a little bit ... Read More

Gamblers are dumb people by nature. If you give them 5 free fake dollars, then they are just going to give you 30.00 real dollars right back. It’s the reason why Vegas has streets paved in the tears of broken dreams. But you are reading this because you want to beat gambling. This tip is not going to do that, but it will introduce you to a faucet of tiny drips that can eventually fill a cup.

There are hundreds of sports gambling apps that you can download on your phone. Some ... Read More

During College Football and Basketball season, the “money season” as I like to call them, I’ll walk by the desk of a few colleagues of mine and at times the conversation will go to the Sags. What exactly are the Sags? Well I’m glad that you asked, person in my head.

The Sags refer to the Jeff Sagrin ratings report which is a mathematical breakdown of the days or upcoming weekend sporting events. He does them for NBA, NFL, NHL, College Football and College Basketball and NASCAR. ... Read More
