BOSTON, MA - The era of constant disappointment in Pawtucket came to and today with a trade long in the making. Boston's farm system and MLB bullpen is bursting with talent, so there was never much room for Allen Webster. Once a highly regarded prospect, Webster has been passed over by a number of other pitching prospects and looked to be done in the Red Sox system.

Roark could bolster the pen in Boston immediately.

Boston swapped with Atlanta to get Tanner Roark, someone Boston thinks could make the majors this year. Atlanta gets Webster and SS Devin Marrero, another prospect being blocked by better players in the minors (Pedro Santana) and the majors (Chris Owings and Xander Bogaerts).
