THE BOSTON GLOBE (RED SOX DYNASTY REPORT)

BOSTON, MA - What a month for the Red Sox and their fans, nobody saw this coming. The Red Sox walk out of August with an incredible 25-3 record, mostly incredible because this team couldn't hit their weight prior to August. The key to victory; offense. After having one of the worst (30th) batting averages in baseball the Red Sox hit .319 as a team in August. Archer is finally in Cy Young contention, and Jackie Bradley Jr. is currently having an amazing season (70R-20HR-70RBI-13SB) for a lead off hitter.

Thanks to the 25-3 record Boston now owns the AL East, and barring a 3-25 September they probably aren't going to surrender the division. The Red Sox are also now 2nd in runs scored (622) and tied for 1st with the Dodgers for runs allowed (439), but LA still owns the best record in baseball at 86-49.
