THE BOSTON GLOBE (RED SOX DYNASTY REPORT)

BOSTON, MA - Things are going well for the Red Sox in August, already 5-2 so far and a series against the middling White Sox coming up. Chris Archer, after a rough outing against Baltimore, would face Marco Gonzalez and try to turn his season around.

Boston started off on the right foot with a 2R-HR from Mike Napoli with Dustin Pedroia on base to start the 1st with a 2-0 lead. Archer cruised and things got even better in the third when Napoli, Will Middlebrooks, and David Ortiz combined for stunning back-to-back-to-back solo-HRs and a 5-0 lead.

Archer, clearly over the outing against the Orioles, blew right through the White Sox lineup. Archer shut out Chicago, a Napoli sac fly in the 7th and a Blake Swihart solo-HR in the 8th gave him a 7-0 lead to basically seal the game. Chicago rallied to score a run off Ranaudo in the 9th, a Ben Coats RBI that drove in Dayan Viciedo, but it was much too little too late.
