THE BOSTON GLOBE (RED SOX DYNASTY REPORT)
CINCINNATI, OH - Another year, another sad All-Star game for Red Sox fans, at least this year there is some contraversy. Only one Red Sox player made it to Cincinnati this year, but it really should have been two. Chris Archer was a no-brainer, and started the game, but MLB robbed Blake Swihart of a roster spot and they don't have a decent reason for doing it. Swihart, having an incredible rookie season, finished second in the votes for Catcher but was passed over for Yan Gomes who finished fourth. Jason Castro finished third, but he is Houston's only All-Star.

Archer did better his second time in Great America Ballpark.
A decent game with a little back-and-forth ending with a lengthy comeback by the AL. Archer started the game and went three innings without allowing a hit, walking one, and striking out four. After Casey Janssen allowed the NL to take a 2-0 lead in the fourth the AL game back with one run innings in the 6th and 8th. It went into the 11th when Adam Jones, the MVP, hit a solo-HR to give the AL a 3-2 win and home field advantage in October.
