THE BOSTON GLOBE (RED SOX DYNASTY REPORT)
BOSTON, MA - The Red Sox welcome the Houston Astros to Fenway today, the second game of their series. Houston came in to the season with very low expectations, but at 54-68 they are doing very well for such a young team. Boston lost game one of this series, so Houston isn't a pushover, but today they would face Jon Lester and his incredible streak of solid starts.
Feldman's best fell just short
Unfortunately for Houston, this game was basically over after the 1st inning. Scott Feldman, who had a good day, gave up a 2R-HR to Mike Napoli for a 2-0 lead that never changed. Both teams couldn't muster much offense all game, especially the Astros who were on the wrong end of a Lester gem. Lester went 8.0 with 3BB and 13K, completely mowing down Houston and leaving the 9th to Koji Uehara.
