Well I zoomed along through the months because of one thing, we were winning. Winning in bunches. December we went 8-8 with a 6 game win streak in there, while in January we went 8-6 also with a 6 game win streak. 4-3 pre-All Star Break has us at 25-27 on the year sitting as the 8 seed. This is fantastic, time to battle for that playoff spot. We have to hold off some of the best though to make it, including the Nets (24-29), Celtics (22-30), and Hawks (19-32). Scoring and winning have come from everybody as the whole starting five has double digits PPG but no one is over 17. With the trade deadline approaching I don't see any possible moves outside of shopping Mo Harkless, who has been struggling from the field.

BREAKING NEWS OUT OF ORLANDO
Sources say SF Maurice Harkless has been sent to Minnesota directly for a first round pick in the upcoming NBA draft. Further news to be reported.

With the trade being done, Hedo will finish his Magic career as a starter and Markieff Morris will see extra minutes as a six man. With that extra pick we could see a trade up for a stronger pick. If we keep it, I'm sure to use it on someone very young as we gave up 19 year old (and struggling) Mo Harkless. With that I'm out. Catch ya come playoff race time.

Month One started out...Terrible. 0-4 to start the year, 2-8 through ten, and 5-10 at the end. It could be worse the Bobcats are sitting at 2-13. Our only winning record to speak of is on Fridays, where we are 3-2. We have wins over the Nets, Pistons, Raptors, Cavs, and shockingly the Spurs. Stats are as follows:
Orlando Magic Stats - YearOne
PlayerGPMINPPGRPGAPGSPGBPGTPGFPG
Aaron Afflalo17.33.62.5
Tobias Harris16.26.12.4
Mo Harkless15.17.10.9
Jameer Nelson13.03.76.9
Nicola Vucevic10.911.70.5

Strangely I have few complaints from our starting five. The bench seems porous I guess at this point but let us trudge on into a dismal season as we now tackle December.

Let's start off with bad news, Markieff has a sore knee for a little bit giving him a -10 on the OVR. But hey, it happens. So time to tip off in Orlando for the season opener against Denver who has already suffered their first loss. The first quarter was close until our starting five was subbed out, after which the Nuggets went on a 14-5 run to finish out the quarter leaving the score at 33-25. Powered by a 7-0 run to start the second quarter, things looked nice. However things turned out grim, until Mo Harkless turned on the jets in his NBA debut. Harkless went for 16 in the second quarter alone, but the score was still 65-63 with the Nuggets in the lead at the half. As I clicked, "SIM TO END OF GAME", I knew things wouldn't turn out well. We did lose, but only by nine so I guess there is something to take away from that. Harkless finished with 26, Nelson 19, Harris 14, and Afflalo 14. No true outstanding performances as even the Nuggets didn't have one guy above 20 points. Moving on with an 0-1 record to the Phoenix Suns, we will be looking for our first 'W'.

Well as new GM I looked at the Magic as a complete rebuild. We were young, that was a good start. I saw two problems quick though. Glen Davis and Al Harrington. Granted Jameer Nelson is a problem too but we will get to that later. Glen Davis, he may win a ring this year, but not in Orlando. Glen Davis was shipped with Doron Lamb to OKC for 20 Year Old Jeremy Lamb and defending specialist Thabo Sefolosha. So where to with Al? Phoenix. E'Twuan Moore and Harrington were shipped there for Markieff Morris and a second round pick in the upcoming draft. After all the dust from those trades had settled, we were left with a lack of a young back up guard. We made a quick dip in the free agent market to pick up Darius Johnson-Odom and shifted him to the PG position (OVR went from 68 to 63). So that left us all with this first day depth chart (Minutes in Parenthesis)
12-13 Orlando Magic Day One Depth Chart - YearOne
STARTER2ND3RD4TH
PGJameer Nelson (30)Darius Johnson-Odom (8)Beno Udrih (2)
SGAaron Afflalo (33)Jeremy Lamb (15)Thabo Sefolosha (15)
SFMo Harkless (34)Hedo Turkoglu (18)
PFTobias Harris (34)Andrew Nicholson (10)Markieff Morris (8)
CNicola Vucevic (33)

Our plan of attack for this year is obviously a good draft pick, but why not try to win a little? Jameer Nelson will probably stick it out as our PG for one more year in the hopes we draft maybe a Trey Burke or MCW. Same goes for Afflalo. And hey, we already have positive cap and we get Turkoglu and Udrih's expiring contracts so maybe this won't be terrible. Signing out is your man, bake502 or Kruise_Kontrol whichever you prefer.

Orlando Magic
Welcome to day one. First, I should explain the basics of this. This is my first dynasty here on OS and i figured it'll be a great quick start for me. I will be playing on 2K13 (PS3) and I wanna be the Magic simply cause they're young and with the draft buzz as of late I wanted a good draft pick. Here is a list of my settings
All Star Difficulty
12 Min. Quarters; However I will only play the first half to keep realism and games short and realistic stats
50 Game Speed
Standard Sliders
Auto Rotations, yet based on the minutes I give
Playing with Chemistry and Fatigue On and CPU is allowed to Trade and such
Zane's Draft Classes are being used, check them out he did terrific
With that being said I hope you all enjoy and let's make this fun. Feel free to comment any time. Go Magic!
