New Ideas for RTTS 2011
Posted on June 12, 2010 at 03:30 AM.
I'll try to keep this brief, short and simple some ideas of what should be in the next RTTS 2011 game

- Weather, rain delays, doubleheaders

- retired numbers, and or your career players number that can become unavailable while you still play until you retire so it may become an official retired number in the show.

- Let us have the option of taking a picture of our career player for our baseball card so that way it may be your own snap shot, your own picture, and nobody elses.

- Letting us have either one of three options of either playing in the Golden age, Silver age, or present day. I would love to have a career player to play in the old time, say just after Fenway Park was built, and I believe this could open up your creativity even more because we're talking about records that weren't even set yet, players who might not have been known or even around at the time, so you should be able to have your run of the mill in the history book if you want, make all new records before someone else, and of course we will be able to break the color barrier anytime we want to without all the racial crap and flak. I know you can't stick 1000 real past ball players in this game, so fake players might work best for that maybe with the exception of a few real iconic players like Walter Johnson, Cobb. I take it back in the olden days players didn't spend as much time n the minors as they do today.

And as your career progresses you would probably see jersey styles change, teams go away, and new or rebuilt stadiums.

- If we do play in the old time then we don't need to hear TV announcers commentating on the game. That will do just fine without commentary,
Or even PA announcers for that matter. I'm not sure when speaker systems were actually integrated into stadiums.

- when you retire from the majors you should be awarded a type of app (maybe something you can save on a thumb drive)that gathers your records, retired numbers so that way it may carry over to any future installment of RTTS. That way you can see your name live on threw the ages, see your jersey number on the stadium wall or walls. And see records (if you broke any) see them go undefeated. Create many memorable players.

If a team wins some championship regardless if its 2010 or 2025 we should see a banner, or flag added on the stadium wall. I noticed how playing with the Angels or Yankees they have all these years of championships, but the year you go to the play offs or win a world series that year is always absent. No big deal, but in real life they usually have all years accounted for in some way.

The next RTTS should feautre......yes fan mail. They did something in an old 2k baseball game once, and maybe this time you can send a reply to fans, automatic response to whatever is said or asked.

Maybe in the next game instead of fiddling with training points you can physically work out in the gym to keep your career player at the top of his game, to be able to do it as many times as I would like would be good, weight lifting, tread mill, jog around the stadium, and then it should say something like you've worked out enough come back tomorrow. This might be a good idea if you want to stay at the top when your 45 and have to retire, and you want your last game to be a good one.

So instead of worrying about goals just have it to where working out is all you need to do, vital to any athlete, and it would make it easier to progress. what would happen if you make a pitcher and have him lift weights constantly every day? he'll have a pretty wicked pitching arm and strength. I would like to be able to have my pitcher who works out so much his fastball is so blazing fast no hitters are able to hit it, and that would be a result of working out in RTTS.

They never give any mention to the 4 of July in RTTS if you have to play any games on the 4 let them sing the national anthem at the 7 inning. I know on every opening day at the ballpark they always have some celebration, and someone throw out the first pitch. If they are going to have someone do that let it be someone worthy to throw out the first pitch.

I know in real life players sometimes announce that they're going to retire after that the season ends. We should have a button to announce retirement, doesn't mean you have to retire because you might change your mind it just gives everyone heads up, and that would probably generate more money for that team if fans and media knew it was an ace players final year. But the announcers should talk about what you've done in your career, and maybe like some players who retire they bid farewall to the fans.

In one of the old Fight Night games as time went on your fighter got older. Thats the way it should be if you start your career at 18 you should look like a kid, and so on, and so on as your MLB career progresses. Age is just a number so I don't want my stats to drop dramatically just because of age. I know some people in the MLB who were pretty old at retirement but still had their stuff.

When and if you ever get to the World Series, playoffs, and so on they should have different announcers announcing the game because after the season ends they go with different people to do their announcing. Maybe make that an ESPN broadcast and have Joe Morgan, Jon Miller.
