Dave Branda just posted his hands-on impressions for Top Spin 3.

Quote:
" This week I had a chance to head down to Miami and take a look at the new edition of Top Spin tennis more than a month before its release, Top Spin 3.

The first thing folks are going to notice about Top Spin 3 is the new graphics and animation. While many felt the last version didn’t live up to the next gen standard, that case certainly will not be made for this version."

Operation Sports' Dave Branda wrote an article, The Impact of a One Company Show, discussing the potential impact of an EA/Take Two Merger in the sports gaming universe.
"Over the weekend Electronic Arts announced they are indeed trying to acquire Take-Two, and with it the 2K Sports line of games.

Right now EA Sports is tight lipped about any plans for the 2K Sports brand when/if Take-Two’s shareholders agree to be acquired (and you have to think it’s only a matter of time and money). But right now, what happens after the possible acquisition is purely speculation."

We have just posted an article entitled, Show Us The Love, Part I: Five Things Gamers Hate, written by Dave Branda.
"Year after year, 2K Sports and EA Sports miss the mark when it comes to their games. They always seem to be close to making a truly great game, but then ceremoniously shoot themselves in the foot and revert in quality. You almost have to wonder if they’ve ever been told that certain things drives gamers wacky. Well …wonder no more. Here are the top five things sports game developers do that drive us to drink. And if we missed something that drives you looney, make sure to let us know in our forums."
