Throw out the records. Throw out the stats. It's rivalry week and anything can happen. The Orange will be without standout senior LB Andrew Armstrong due to an injury but backup Ryan Guthrie is a RS SR and is very capable himself. Boston College is a team that has been picking up steam lately and would probably be bowl eligible if they had played like this all season. They suffered an ugly season-opening home loss to lowly New Mexico State but other than that they have been a solid team. This game won't be easy but if Syracuse plays a full, clean game they should handle the Eagles pretty well. An interesting note in this game is that Boston College is the nation's number 7 rushing offense and Syracuse boasts the nation's top rushing defense. Last week Indiana figured out how to run against the Orange though so if the Eagles can find that same success then Syracuse could be in some trouble.

This game was nowhere near as close as I expected. This was the most lopsided score of the season and Boston College's defense was overmatched all day. Tommy DeVito threw for over 400 yards and 6 touchdowns, Tyrone Perkins and Sean Riley both had return touchdowns, and Tyrone Perkins even added 150 receiving yards out of the backfield. The defense intercepted Anthony Brown twice and held Boston College to only 23 points in the win. This game moved Syracuse to 9-3 and if they win their bowl game they can have a 10-win season in Bays' inaugural go around.
