Syracuse Orange (7-3, 2-2 Away) | Indiana Hoosiers (3-7, Home) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Syracuse travels to Bloomington to take on the ailing Hoosiers in an ACC battle. After the loss to Virginia Tech, Syracuse lost almost all hope of a conference title game appearance, but if Louisville loses one more game, then the Orange will win the tiebreaker over them for the North division. Syracuse is a team very much still motivated to win games and they can still achieve a 10-win season in Bays' first year in Syracuse. Look for the Orange to roll a weak Indiana team for win number eight.

This was not the prettiest game at all for Syracuse. Indiana had more yards, time of possession, and less turnovers yet still lost by 21. Tommy DeVito threw 3 picks and under 200 yards against the Hoosier defense, but one of those interceptions was off of a dropped pass by his tight end. Tyrone Perkins bounced back nicely after a rough day but on the season as a whole he has had trouble keeping his average up. The defense was boosted by a long pick six from Scoop Bradshaw but struggled to bottle up the run or pass while surrendering over 400 yards of total offense. Syracuse closes their season at Boston College next week and need to prove that they can handle their business and play a clean road game to be given much of a chance in their bowl game.
