Syracuse lost a third offensive lineman last week and now have 4 guards starting along the line. TCU is a very good rushing team and have an extremely efficient offense, stacked with athletes. This team could be hard for Syracuse to slow down so their offense will be key if they are going to win. Tyrone Perkins will get the start at HB today over Moe Neal after his 100 yard performance against Memphis last week. A win here would be a big statement for Syracuse in the ACC this year. That being said I think this game will be close but the Horned Frogs will win.

Syracuse is not ready to win games in the ACC just yet. They saw a 9 point lead with just under 4 minutes left in the game evaporate and threw a game-deciding pick six in enemy territory when they had a shot to win the game. Tommy DeVito played his worst game yet and the defense was shredded for nearly 400 passing yards. All that said, this was a great game. DeVito also threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for another. Tyrone Perkins added another dimension to this offense with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and Sean Riley is a true home run threat every single time he catches the ball. This team has some work to do but the defense performed extremely well on third downs, doing a great job at getting TCU off the field. TCU should not have played such a close game as they settled for field goals quite often and kept shooting themselves in the foot, but so did Syracuse. The Orange still have some troubles getting big plays out of the ground game but it is doing a decent enough job to not need to worry about it. The pass rush was also excellent today as Josh Black got 2 more sacks. Next week the Orange travel to Rutgers, looking to go a perfect 3-0 in nonconference play.
