Syracuse looks to bounce back from its rough ACC opener against the Seminoles by heading to Memphis. The Tigers are fresh off an upset of ranked Kansas but that may be a fluke as Kansas doesn't look too good this season. Syracuse should be able to get back on track and pick up win #2 in the Bays era.

Syracuse came into Memphis and dominated both sides of the ball in a comfortable 31-13 win. Syracuse lost their starting QB and HB in the first half but had already built a 24-3 lead so they were not too worried. HB Tyrone Perkins came in and ran for over 100 yards in relief, raising the question of if he should start over the ineffective Moe Neal. Tommy DeVito was on fire before the injury, throwing for nearly 200 yards and 3 scores, in only the first half. The defense absolutely stifled Memphis and forced 3 key turnovers to help the cause. Syracuse is clearly better than their lower conference foes this year, but they need to prove they can hang with ACC competition to be taken seriously.
