This game closes out the schedule for Sun Belt champion Georgia State against one of the worst teams in the conference, Troy. The Trojans upset the Panthers in Troy, which ultimately cost them a shot at the Sun Belt title. This year Georgia State is ranked and riding a 6 game winning streak which they hope to take into bowl season. The Panthers coasted to a 49-24 win on Senior night as Aaron Winchester scored 6 total touchdowns to lead the way. Taz Bateman rushed for 117 yards in his final home game and Ari Werts caught 6 passes to move into the lead for most receptions in a season in school history. The defense played well aside from a few big plays and CB Jaylon Jones had a big day with a 3rd down sack and an interception that he almost ran back for a touchdown. The Panthers notched their 10th win of the season and were officially crowned Sun Belt champions with the victory. Next week the Panthers are on BYE due to the Sun Belt not playing a conference title game.
