The Panthers got another comfortable win today in Mobile. The Jaguars did not run the ball much at all, only handing the ball off 7 times in the game. This put pressure on the Panther pass defense and they answered the call. Despite allowing almost 300 passing yards, the defense got an interception and held the South Alabama offense to 1/7 on 3rd downs. Taz Bateman was shut down for much of the game, although he did score 3 touchdowns. This put the weight on the shoulders of Aaron Winchester for the first time since his rough first two starts. Winchester answered by throwing for 252 and 2 touchdowns and rushing for another 139 yards. Next week is the big showdown to determine the winner of the Sun Belt as Georgia State will travel to West Point to face off with Army.
