Georgia State are feeling great coming off their season-defining victory over Army the week prior. Louisiana is the team who beat Army first and are quietly in a position to take over first place in the Sun Belt with a victory on their home field this week.

Recap:
The defense held up their end of the bargain more than in some previous games by allowing only 27 points to a high octane offense. However the previous weeks game plan of giving the ball to Smith on the ground fell apart due to Conner Manning continually turning the ball over, leading to an early deficit. This game was by far the worst played and sloppiest of the season for the Panthers and is something they will need to keep their eye on going forward. Now they no longer control their own destiny in the race for the conference title as they need to hope for some Louisiana losses to help their case.
