Westwood Wisdom trade on July16th: we hated to say goodbye to aroldis chapman, but with a plethora of third baseman and a need for a slugger that could dominate against rightys this year we felt we had to make the move to bring in freddie freeman. Losing kyle blanks could look really bad in a few years because of his small contract, but we have won 5 games in a row and want to make a run at this year. Also we still have gillaspie and middlebrooks at third base, with arias and now gregorious as backups at shortstop and infield. And we plan on platooning gregorious with desmond at shorstop. And I personally love knuckleballer so getting dickey for miley is a good move for me personally because it also allows me to put chen back in for long relief and middle relief as a lefy with javier lopez in the pen especially with chapman gone now...Joe Smith will be our new closer

with wright, lopez, veras, chen, smith as our pen we feel good about it, and still have latroy hawkins in reserve if needed

trading chapman, lawrie, blanks, and miley and my number 1 pick gives us a chance to get to the wild card since we are only 4.5 games behind with the trade deadline about to hit at the end of july

for freeman, ra dickey, joe smith, and didi gregorious and lower draft pick
