Coach Smith Post Game Press Conference:
"Wow what a game tonight. I know there weren't many people here to see it but can you think of any other way to kick-off your first D-1 home game? 4 overtimes and I thought we were about to head for a 5th. I can't give these guys enough credit for the way they played out there today. Not only did they storm back late in the second half from a 31-14 deficit they kept matching Indiana blow for blow in overtime. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined our first home game going like this."

"Just by the look on your face I can tell just how exciting this win is for you. Who would you say your stand out player was in this game? Also what was said in that locker room at halftime? In the first half you give up 31 points then nearly complete a second half shut-out if it wouldn't of been for a lost fumble on the punt."
Coach Smith:
"Honestly at halftime all I said was go out there and play and have fun. I told them to quit trying to make the big play every time out there, quit going for the pick when a simple swat will do. I also told them to not try to make it all up at once, if we were going to come back in this game then it would have to come slowly. As for the player of the game I would give it up to the entire defense. I know they gave up 62 points but when it mattered most they showed up."

"Quick question here, what are your plans for next week against Michigan? What will you do to contain Denard Robinson?"
Coach Smith:
"Well to be honest I just want the team to take in the big game environment. I want them to see what they are helping build this program into. Realistically do I think we have a chance? No absolutely not. However I do expect this team to see what we are truly made of and want them to have an experience to take with them going forward. As for containing Denard there will be a spy on him all game long. If we can try to force him to beat us with his arm and not his legs we just might be able to hang around long enough to make things interesting.
