Spurs release former Suns Secound draft selection Malik Hairston due to contract abiligation. Hairston played in 62 games and average 2.7 ppg in 6.7 minutes a game.

sounds like he really wasnt that important ... why wouldnt he just take the contract ...

Maybe he wants more playing time even if it is in a much worse team.
