Prior to matchup versus Vikings, Packers place Clay Matthews on Injured Reserve
Due to a pectoral tear in the preseason, Clay Matthews told coach Mike McCarthy he could play this year, but the cornerstone linebacker for the Packers is too valuable to the team, and General Manager Ted Thompson takes no chances. He placed his star on Injured Reserve the night before the divisional matchup with the NFC North Champ Minnesota Vikings
