ELITE
1.Cowboys- From top to bottom, this team has all the weapons. Romo can move just enough, they have a dual headed monster and tons of different WR types.
On Defense - They have tremendous speed in the secondary and the ability to exchange pieces and play any style.
2.Vikings -Almost took the top spot with Moss, but still have a Top Back, Fast QB, Old QB, Array of fast and tall WR’s. Best DL in the game makes up for back 7. Solid team overall.
3.Raiders- Speed, Speed, Speed. Great players will make the Raiders work. They are a poor mans team, if you work with them, you will find some of the best attributes in the game on defense. Offense has some speed with DMC and DHB.
4.Chargers - Top Madden 10 Team loses LT and Vinny Jack for the moment. Still very strong despite true rocket catching scheme so far. Defense losses a star in Cromartie but they still have good LB’s and above average secondary.
5.Ravens - Overall additions of Boldin and Housh add to this under the radar offense, D is aging but still is loaded with playmakers. Lots of talent to set up anything on D.
6.Titans - A great team for the right style player. CJ2K is excellent, VY can move, WR’s are big. D is very average! Addition of Moss makes them really good.
7.Saints- Brees has accuracy on his side. WR’s have speed and height depending on your play style. Bush is dynamic and the defense can really wrap up. Little slow but have great press ratings.
8.Colts- If your a real life Peyton Manning you can make the colts work. D-line is relentless and hit power is still decent in the secondary.
9.Jets- All types of playmakers on defense! Lots of blitzer and coverage CB’s. Offense is solid between Edwards HGT and Holmes SPD.
Average depending on scheme
10.Redskins- McNabb isn’t what he once was, WR’s arent great for Madden but they still are solid. Defense is awesome with good hit power and speed off the edge.
11.Steelers - Tremendous linebackers and Troy holding it down in for the defense. Dixon lets you run, Ben lets you throw. Losing Holmes hurts but Wallace has some speed. Good team for the right player.
12. .Patriots- Brady To Moss is all over. D is faster but not as solid as years past. Lack true number 1 running back.
13.Packers- Pretty solid, but pretty plain. Wheres the huge target or stud RB? CB’s have good press, but the LB’s and DL are nothing to write home about.
14.Dolphins- Pat White gone? Ronnie and Ricky are nothing amazing? Brandon Marshall is good, but dolphins are lackluster this year.
15.49ers- Tremendous LB’s but when Smith to Ziegler is your best combo? No thanks. Vernon is good, but Gore is too slow to be “elite”
16.Giants- Solid WR’s, 2 headed rushing attack on O. Great D-line and 3 safetys. This is the team for people who like to run crazy defenses. They have 8 guys you can rotate in the front 7 depending on situation! Tuck at DT or DE, Kiwi at DE or LB?
17.Broncos- Tebow!? Non factor. Thomas is good target but Broncos and Champ Bailey defense are not what they once were.
18.Cardinals- Losing Warner and Boldin bumps this never elite Madden team down even more. Still love DRC but defense is mediocre.
19.Bears- Alot of people have been talking up the 3-0 bears, as well as their roster. I’m not fully seeing it beyond Olson, Hester speed and a solid D core.
20.Texans- Andre Johnson rules and if this team keeps winning, they will be rising up this list.
21.Eagles- Vick has been bumped up considerably. Still no big pass catching targets but Desean Jackson and Celek are elite at their positions. Defense has new faces, but you can work in there fast rushers. (starting to like them more and more with the updates!)
22.Falcons- Matty Ice is solid, White, Turner and RB trio have speed. Defense you can make work, check the forums for optimal set up.
23.Bengals- Elite at the start of the year, this team will take a hit with ratings updates. Lost Bryant and Palmer will likely decline in ratings each week.
24.Panthers- 2 good RB’s and Steve Smith are nice. Beason is good, they are better in Madden then real life!
Nothing good
25.Jags - Not since Madden 08
26.Lions - Very workable, you can really make them a solid team if you are up for a challenge
27.Browns- EWWW
28. Bills - Spiller? Not enough
29. Seahawks - NOO
30.Bucs- Freeman is going to be good in a few years, hopefully they can grab a fast RB or a big star stud wideout
31.Chiefs- Pretty good speed at RB and Dwayne Bowe, wheres the D?
32. Rams- Yuck
