Crunch time!
We needed this one badly and we got it!
And frankly, most of this victory can be totally attributed to sheer willpower.
If you were to simply scan the stats box and try to determine who actually won the game without peeking at the score, my guess is that 99 out of 100 football fans would pick the Ravens. We were out-first-downed...out-third-downed...out yarded...even out-run on the ground, BUT we won this game!
A couple of things jump out. First, we did not turn the ball over at all this day and we took away 3 turnovers from the Ravens. That is deadly for them, a genuine deflating drive-stopper each and every time, no matter what stats they toss up. And second, once again Cassel to Johnson on the ground was highly effective, with Chris running for 3 TDs and Matt adding 2 more through the air.
9-6...Still not out of the woods yet. We need some good luck charms to line up in week 17 for a playoff berth, BUT our only focus is to do our part and beat the Vikings to make whatever else happens after that entirely possible!
