After being somewhat dismantled by the Broncos in the first week of the regular season, we couldn't wait to get them on the field again. The chance came this week, week seven, and we took advantage!
Behind and outstanding game from Matt Cassel and great receptions from Leilon Black and Russ Mack, who caught 8 and 7 passes for a touchdown each, we were able to stay with the Broncos the entire game.
In OT the hero was certainly Brandon Flowers. Our entire defense was ready for this one, but Brandon was the guy who took one back on the Broncos and gave us the win!
Also clearly on top of his game was DE Tyson Jackson. As usual, Tyson was a machine with six tackles and a sack! That improves our season record to 2-4 and we certainly feel good about getting on a roll.

Welcome back. I must admit that after the Super Bowl (and with M11 coming), I thought I would try a few things this "season". So I've been doing a combination of straight "SIM", playing out the games in "Coach Mode" and calling plays but then not touching the controller (and clearly I am no NFL coach/player/even towel boy) and "Spectate" mode for a few games.
Mainly I wanted to manage through some "injury adversity", which has already happened with my star LT going out for the season.
You can see some of the TOP stats being different because in strictly "SIM" mode, the game seems to play full time games! While in "Coach" or "Spectate" it plays with the franchise settings (which I have at 10-min Qtrs (I believe) with clock roll-off, etc.
So it certainly gives a wide range of results.
Just having fun...
Makes for some additional dramatics in the writing summaries too! Maybe I, as GM, should have a real blow-out after one of these lob-sided losses and trade everyone!!!
Probably finish out this season...
Then start a new franchise with M11...
