That's more like it. We found some run and were able to successfully move the ball against the Bears and came away with a much needed victory to halt the horrible start to the new season.
Matt Cassel was 15-19 for 177 yards and a touchdown, but it was the running game comeback, led by Chris Johnson of course, that made the dent required to take us to victory. Chris ran the ball, Dwayne Bowe caught 5, Kevin Leoni 4 and Leilon Black 2 with a touchdown, to lead us past the Bears.
I do hope this puts the losses behind us and we can continue to move in a much more positive direction in week 7.
Of note in this game, LT Jamarquis Taite will be out for the season with an undisclosed injury. We have both Lamel Waters and young Ed Reed ready to fill that huge hole on the O-Line.
And one final positive:
CB Deveon Keys was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week because of his two tackle, one forced fumble and one interception for a touchdown performance. Congratulations Deveon!
