2011 was a great year in The Chiefs franchise, We truly believe we have turned a corner from also-ran to legitimate contender and in the off-season will do everything we can to put ourselves into a position of contending for the Super Bowl in 2012!

Front Office:
Coaching Staff all continue their agreements into 2012

Stadium Upgrades - Team Museum and Rainwater Catcher

Sponsorship: Begin final year of 3-year agreement with Scarn for 3-million dollars. This past season we met their expectation of either 10 wins or a playoff berth and that did seem to show up in the team revenue at end of season!

Off Season:
Retirements: None!

Re-Signings:
K Succop to a new 3-year deal worth 3.75-million
* I thought about this, given I do have another Kicker on my roster that seems to have all it takes to be successul. We'll see if this new agreement stands for the full term?

Again we felt it important to build with the draft and there didn't seem to be anything of note that we didn't have in place already at every position, so we did not participate in FA.

We targeted the FB position looking to find a back-up prospect for FB Mughelli, after the release of FB Cox. And we also concentrated on both the O and D-Lines. That said, we did spot a young QB that seemed to have some tools and might be an heir to Matt Cassel in QB Jackson.

This year our Draft Grade was A-, 10th overall!
Best value was deemed young QB Willis Jackson (73ovr).
Best grade (A+) only went to the Packers (second best grade year in a row, as I recall - and not bad for a team that appeared in the Super Bowl)!

Salary Cap:
When I was done, the cap sat at 7.23-million, with 4.90 in penalties.
