Well the season is over for the San Diego Chargers.
While I am sad and angry at the same time, it was a very good season. Why? Well... the Chargers started 4 - 8. 4 and ****ing 8. Wow.

The season was pretty much done at that point, but thanks to a monumental collapse by the Denver Broncos we made it into the playoffs and once again beat the Colts.
Success.

Next year...
Could be even better.

For one thing, Shawne Merriman will be back and I finally found out how much he means to our defense. Antonio Cromartie... not so much.

So... Merriman will be back.
Rivers is amazing.
The last thing is... LT

He might be gone next year because of his falling production and constantly being injured. Sproles is supposed to be a free agent and he might ask for quite a bit of money after his hot streak near the end of the season. So if we keep Sproles we might have to let someone go, and it might be LT.

Anyway... I know in the next coming years a super bowl will come to San Diego.

I think LT is finished, at least in terms of being a back who puts up monster numbers. He's been banged up for a few years now and he's right at the age where many backs break down. Look how quickly Shaun Alexander fell off the radar. He was the NFL MVP three years ago and he had a grand total of 11 carries for the Redskins this season. If I were San Diego, I'd re-sign Sproles, then maybe go after Derrick Ward of the Giants and split the carries between them. Because of his size (or lack thereof), I don't know if Sproles has the ability to take the punishment that comes with being an every-down back.
